2009-07-01

In the news every day new things are being revealed---like this present administration is thinking about coming forth with a second stimulus package---another tax and spend package that will cost billions of dallors we haven't got; we haven't seen much evidence that the first one is working. Then there's the trade and cap bill recently passed by Congress--this is some more billions of dollars we tax payers will be forced to take on for our children and grandchildren to pay off. And then, of course, there is the health care package that is being debated and will be brought to a vote by the Senate after their summer break.  More billians of dallors for our children and grandchildrens to be burdoned with.

Even though we may see a little bit of some things happening with these socialistic programs, when it comes to pay the bills all bad things are going to happen.  The U.S. will have to borrow the money---most likely from china (where our credit is getting pretty shaky right now). Or the governmemt is going to have to print more money, which always causes inflation when there is no cold cash or gold to back it up.  The other option is to raise taxes.  In the long run all three will happen which will put a burdon on our children and grandchildren and their children to pay for these pet projects.

The Founding Fathers said that it was immoral to place our debts on our children and grandchildren.

This link will feature alerts that I may feel important for you, my friends, to be alerted about. It could come at anytime--perhaps another one as soon as tomorrw but my purpose for this link, and others, is to educate.

Not all may see things the way I do.  Some of you will declare that I don't know what I am talking about; others will say "Yeah, your right, but I don't have to pay attention and will stay out of it."

It's time we start speaking out.

This one was sent to me by the thirteen year old girl I mentioned in one of my recent articles entitled Something Very Refreshing. It is now in the Archives.

In Honor of Stupid People . . .

In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.

On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping.
(That's the only time I have to work on my hair.)

On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(the shoplifter special?)

On a bar of Dial soap -- 'Directions: Use like regular soap.'
(and that would be???....)

On some Swanson frozen dinners -- 'Serving suggestion: Defrost.' (but, it's just a suggestion.)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- 'Do not turn upside down.'
(well...duh, a bit late, huh!)

On Marks &Spencer Bread Pudding -- 'Product will be hot after heating.'
(and you thought?)

On packaging for a Rowenta iron -- 'Do not iron clothes on body.'
(but wouldn't this save me time?)

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- 'Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication.'
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5 year-olds with head-colds off those bulldozers.)

On most brands of Christmas lights -- 'For indoor or outdoor use only.'
(as opposed to what?)

On Nytol Sleep Aid -- 'Warning: May cause drowsiness.'
(I'm taking this because?)

On a Japanese food processor -- 'Not to be used for the other use.'
(now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)

On Sainsbury's peanuts -- 'Warning: contains nuts.'
(talk about a news flash)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- 'Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts.'
(Step 3: say what?)

On a child's Superman costume -- 'Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.'
(I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even chuckle)...

****Blessed are the cracked: For it is they who let in the light*****

I hoped you liked them.
